Clay William Epperson started his assignment as the Program Office Director for USAID/Philippines on August 1, 2013. Prior to his arrival he served as USAID’s Regional Deputy Mission Director for Central Asia from February 2011 until June 2013. The mission manages USAID’s programs in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Mr. Epperson joined the USAID Central Asian Republics Mission in August 2010 as the Supervisory Program Officer. Prior to that assignment, he served in USAID missions in Afghanistan, Peru, Croatia, Georgia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Honduras.
Prior to USAID, he was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras from 1985-1988.
Mr. Epperson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Business Administration from the University of San Diego. He earned a Master of Arts in International Public Administration and Policy Studies from the Monterey Institute of international Studies.
